Google's own AI accelerator. TPU 8t (training) and TPU 8i (inference) announced in April 2026. Revenue not broken out.
What it is
Tensor Processing Units are Google's in-house AI chips. TPU systems are also sold as product sales within Google Cloud. They compete with Nvidia GPUs for AI training and inference.
Why it matters to the stock. Custom chips could lower Alphabet's AI costs versus buying Nvidia GPUs. Outside TPU sales would be a new revenue line.

Anthropic signs multi-gigawatt TPU compute deal with Google and Broadcom
