What it is
Empower makes integrated voltage regulators and silicon capacitors for next-generation 800-volt AI data center racks, where power has to be delivered close to the processor. ADI plans to combine this with its own power portfolio. Empower's CEO Tim Phillips will oversee the integrated voltage regulator work.
Why it matters to the stock. It is a direct bet on AI compute power delivery. The deal is not closed and the revenue contribution is still a target, not a result.
