What it is
Optical engines packaged next to switch chips so light, not copper, carries data between switches and accelerators. The company lists CPO alongside its 800G and 1.6T transceiver roadmap.
Why it matters to the stock. If CPO becomes standard in AI switches, the content per switch could rise and the company would sell lasers and optical engines rather than pluggable modules. Revenue timing has not been disclosed.
