What it is

Gilead's Kite unit sells CAR T-cell cancer therapies: Yescarta for large B-cell lymphoma and Tecartus for mantle cell lymphoma. Total cell therapy sales were $1.84 billion in 2025, down 7%, and Q2 2026 sales were down 14%.

Why it matters to the stock. Cell therapy is a shrinking part of revenue. The anito-cel acquisition brings a next-generation myeloma CAR T-cell product into the same business.
