What it is
Maven Smart System is the Pentagon's AI-enabled targeting and common operating picture software, built by Palantir and used across the military. It began as a 2024 Pentagon contract and has been expanded by ceiling increases and a March 2026 directive to make it a formal program of record.
Why it matters to the stock. Defense AI programs of this size show how fast the US government is moving to AI software, and each ceiling raise or new user figure is a read on US government revenue growth.
