Model S and Model X
Tesla announced the end of production on January 28, 2026. The Fremont lines are being converted to Optimus production.
What it is
Tesla's premium Model S sedan and Model X SUV, built at Fremont. Musk said on January 28, 2026 that the programs would end and that Tesla would build Optimus robots in the same factory space.
Why it matters to the stock. The Fremont line is being converted to Optimus production, so ending these models is a capacity decision as much as a product decision. Tesla does not report S/X deliveries separately, so their revenue impact is only visible in the Other Models line.
