Adobe names Anil Chakravarthy CEO effective December 1; Shantanu Narayen becomes executive chair

Adobe's board named Anil Chakravarthy president and chief executive, effective December 1, 2026, and he joins the board that day. Shantanu Narayen, CEO since 2007, moves to executive chair. A special committee led by lead independent director Frank Calderoni ran the search, and the board chose Chakravarthy unanimously. Chakravarthy currently runs the Customer Experience Orchestration business and worldwide field operations.
