ASML plans to cut about 1,700 jobs, mostly management layers, on the same day as record orders
ASML said it would dismiss about 1,700 employees, mainly in leadership roles in its technology and IT organizations, to flatten management layers. Most of the reductions fall in the Netherlands, with a smaller number in the United States. CFO Roger Dassen framed the move as a management-structure problem rather than a cost-cutting exercise, arguing that engineers spend too much time on coordination.
