IBM and NVIDIA expand collaboration on GPU analytics, storage and cloud GPUs

At GTC 2026 IBM and NVIDIA expanded their work on enterprise AI. IBM is building an open-source GPU-accelerated Presto engine for watsonx.data on NVIDIA cuDF; in a Nestlé proof of concept, a data-mart refresh fell from 15 minutes to 3 minutes. IBM also plans to offer NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs on IBM Cloud from early Q2 2026, and NVIDIA selected IBM Storage Scale System 6000 for 10PB of storage.
