MercadoLibre retires Mercado Coin loyalty token; balances due by April 17

MercadoLibre began winding down Mercado Coin, the cashback and rewards token it launched in August 2022, and told users to sell or spend balances in the Mercado Pago app by April 17, 2026. Balances not used by then convert to Brazilian reais. The move is small for revenue but shows the company narrowing its crypto offering.
