Moderna names David Berman Chief Development Officer; Jacqueline Miller steps down as CMO

Moderna appointed David Berman, M.D., Ph.D. as Chief Development Officer, starting March 2, 2026, and he joins the Executive Committee reporting to CEO Stephane Bancel. Jacqueline Miller left her role as Chief Medical Officer on the same date and stayed on as a consultant during the handover. The change gives the pipeline, which now includes oncology and rare disease programs alongside vaccines, a new development chief.
