PayPal and Amazon launch Pay Later installments in Germany and Austria

PayPal and Amazon launched PayPal Ratenzahlung, an installment credit option, on Amazon.de and in the Amazon app, rolling out from August 2026. Customers can split purchases of €30 to €10,000 into fixed monthly payments over 3 to 48 months, subject to a credit check. The effective annual interest rate is 11.49%, and PayPal cites more than 40 million customers who can use it on Amazon.de.
