iPhone 18 Pro lists Apple C2 modem; Pro Max modem left unlisted

Apple's September 9 iPhone 18 Pro launch lists its in-house C2 modem for the iPhone 18 Pro. The iPhone 18 Pro Max lists no modem for U.S. models, which points to a Qualcomm modem in that model. Apple has not given a reason, and the split may be U.S.-only. Any loss of modem share at Apple is a direct handset-revenue headwind for Qualcomm.

• iPhone 18 Pro lists the C2 modem on Apple's U.S. specifications page
• iPhone 18 Pro Max lists no modem for U.S. models
• No reason given; the split may apply only to the U.S.
