Hims & Hers to sell Novo Nordisk's Ozempic and Wegovy and drop compounded GLP-1 ads
Hims & Hers and Novo Nordisk agreed to sell Novo's branded Ozempic and Wegovy, including the Wegovy pill, on the Hims platform. Hims stops advertising compounded GLP-1 products and offers compounded semaglutide only on a limited basis. Novo is dismissing its lawsuit without prejudice, which means it can be refiled. Shares rallied sharply on the news.
- Ozempic injections (0.5 mg, 1 mg, 2 mg) and Wegovy pills and injections to be offered on the platform later in March 2026.
- Existing patients can move to FDA-approved medicines when their providers consider it clinically appropriate.
- The company said it cannot yet predict the effect on future revenue or EBITDA, and the release gives no pricing or financial figures.
- US weight loss is shifted from compounded to branded GLP-1 drugs, a change that drove the margin pressure reported in later quarters.
