Vertiv to join S&P 500 in March 2026 rebalance

S&P Dow Jones Indices said on March 6, 2026 that Vertiv will join the S&P 500, together with Lumentum, Coherent and EchoStar. The changes took effect before the market open on March 23, 2026. Index funds that track the S&P 500 must buy the added stocks, which creates mechanical demand around the effective date.
