Visa launches a validator node on the Tempo blockchain
On April 14, 2026, Visa said it had launched a validator node on Tempo, a layer-1 blockchain it describes as built for agentic commerce and machine-to-machine payments. A validator confirms transactions and orders them into blocks, which keeps all participants in agreement on the ledger. The step gives Visa a direct operating role on a chain it is also using for stablecoin settlement.
