Visa opens Visa Stablecoin Platform to beta clients, starting with Open USD

On July 16, 2026, Visa launched the Visa Stablecoin Platform, an enterprise environment for creating, sending and holding stablecoins, starting with Open USD. It includes onchain wallets, bank account linking, approval controls and audit logging. The platform, including Wallet-as-a-Service, is in beta with select clients for now, and Visa will use their feedback before any broader launch.
