NVIDIA adds CUDA-Q Logical orchestration layer for fault-tolerant quantum work
On September 14, 2026 NVIDIA added CUDA-Q Logical, an orchestration layer in its open-source CUDA-Q platform, for designing and testing fault-tolerant quantum applications. NVIDIA says Fermilab cut its fault-tolerant algorithm development from five months to three weeks, a claimed 7x speedup. The release also brings Sandia's QUOPS benchmark into CUDA-Q and is available on GitHub.
- CUDA-Q Logical lets researchers swap algorithm, error-correction and hardware options for logical qubits
- Fermilab: development time cut from five months to three weeks (NVIDIA-reported 7x speedup)
- Sandia QUOPS benchmark reference implementation added to CUDA-Q
- Available on GitHub (NVIDIA/cuda-quantum); no revenue figure disclosed
