Oracle sells $25 billion of bonds on record demand, yet shares slide to a nine-month low

Oracle returned to the US investment-grade bond market on February 2, 2026 with a $25 billion bond sale, the debt half of its $50 billion funding plan. IFR reported more than $125 billion of orders and called it the largest order book ever for a corporate bond deal. The deal did not stop the stock from falling to a nine-month low, which shows that equity investors were still worried about dilution and leverage.

  • Bond deal size: $25 billion of senior unsecured bonds
  • Order book: more than $125 billion, per IFR
  • Shares still slumped to a nine-month low after the deal
  • Market value erased: IFR says shares were down 60% from their September record high
