AWS becomes first cloud approved for NATO RESTRICTED workloads across all NATO members

AWS said on September 22, 2026 that it is the first cloud provider approved for NATO RESTRICTED workloads across all NATO member nations. NATO approved the authorization in July 2026 after evaluation by Spain's National Cryptologic Centre. AWS has 15 Regions in NATO member countries, 7 of them in mainland Europe, and the approval covers its Trusted Secure Enclave Sensitive Edition offering.
