EIA: total US petroleum stocks ex-SPR fall 6.9 million barrels in week to October 2

The EIA weekly data for the week ending October 2, 2026, shows total US petroleum stocks excluding the Strategic Petroleum Reserve fell 6.9 million barrels to 1,237.4 million barrels, a decline of 0.6%. Including the SPR, stocks dropped 7.7 million barrels to 1,520.4 million barrels.
