EU committee holds no FSD vote on Oct 6; Reuters reports Tesla pressed Dutch regulator

The EU Technical Committee on Motor Vehicles did not vote on Tesla's FSD (Supervised) application on October 6, so the next possible decision is December. Reuters reported on October 7, from regulator correspondence, that Tesla pushed the Dutch regulator RDW to narrow its review and disputed a 365,000 euro bill. RDW told Reuters its assessment remains independent and thorough.

  • No vote at the October 6 TCMV meeting; earliest vote December
  • RDW invoiced Tesla EUR 365,000 for five months of work; Tesla disputed the bill
  • Tesla argued its own test reports should suffice instead of RDW witnessing tests
  • RDW offered to monitor part of the tests remotely
