Stocks, commodity futures and perpetuals (Everything Exchange)
Coinbase expanded its trading lineup in December 2025 to include stocks, commodity futures, perpetual futures and prediction markets. Stock perpetuals launched March 20, 2026 for eligible non-US traders.
What it is
Coinbase added non-crypto assets to its app and exchange in December 2025, including stocks and commodity futures, alongside crypto perpetual futures. Stock perpetuals (24/7 leveraged exposure to US-listed stocks and ETFs) launched in March 2026 for eligible traders outside the US. Coinbase does not disclose stock trading volume or user counts. These products compete with brokers such as Robinhood for retail and institutional trading volume.
Why it matters to the stock. This is the main test of Coinbase's 'Everything Exchange' plan. Traders watch whether non-crypto volume offsets weaker crypto trading and whether these products move the consumer transaction revenue line.
