What it is
LEAP is the main engine on the Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX, made with CFM International (a 50/50 joint venture with Safran). It is the largest single source of CES equipment and spare-parts revenue.
Why it matters to the stock. Every LEAP delivered creates decades of spare-parts and shop-visit revenue, so deliveries today drive the services earnings of the next 10 years.
