What it is
Electron is Rocket Lab's small orbital launch vehicle, sold for dedicated or shared missions. HASTE is a suborbital version used for defense hypersonic testing. Together they are the company's original business and still its main launch franchise.
Why it matters to the stock. Electron is the reason Rocket Lab is a launch company today, and it keeps the company in front of commercial satellite operators and government customers. Launch volume has not grown as fast as Space Systems revenue, so this segment is now the smaller part of the business.
