Nike cuts about 1,400 roles, mostly in technology, under Win Now

Nike is cutting about 1,400 roles, most of them in technology, as part of the Win Now turnaround. COO Venkatesh Alagirisamy wrote to staff on April 23, 2026, about the cuts. The round is the second of 2026, following the 775 distribution-center jobs cut in January, and it adds to pressure on operating costs while sales remain under pressure.
