Wegovy HD (7.2 mg) launches in the US in a single-dose pen

Novo Nordisk launched Wegovy HD, the 7.2 mg weekly injection, in the US in April 2026, after the March FDA approval. It gives injectable Wegovy a higher-dose option, which the company hopes will keep patients on the injection rather than moving to the pill. Launch volumes will show whether the higher dose can offset price cuts in the injectable line.
