Qualcomm closes Modular acquisition, paying mainly in stock

Qualcomm completed its acquisition of Modular, the AI software company behind the Mojo language, with a closing date of July 28, 2026 stated in its quarterly report. The purchase was valued at about $3.1 billion at the closing-date share price and paid primarily in about 18 million Qualcomm shares. It adds AI software to the data-center push, and the stock issuance adds dilution.
