Qualcomm unveils Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Extreme Gen 6 flagship chips

Qualcomm unveiled two flagship phone chips at its Snapdragon Summit in Maui on September 22: the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Both have two prime cores up to 5 GHz. The company's own figures put the Extreme tier's GPU up 44% and NPU up 35% versus the prior generation, which gives it the stronger premium-phone pitch.
