Credo starts shipping 800G ZeroFlap optical transceivers for AI networks

Credo announced general availability of its 800G 2 x DR4 ZeroFlap optical transceiver, aimed at link flaps in AI clusters. The module has in-band telemetry from both ends of a link and automated responses that locate, fix and prevent flaps. Credo cited a Cignal AI estimate that 800G transceivers will be more than half of high-speed transceivers shipped through 2028.

  • 800G 2 x DR4 ZeroFlap optical transceiver is now available
  • Offered with integrated or riding heat sinks for switch-side or server-side use
  • Automated responses localize, remediate and prevent link flaps
  • Telemetry can be read through PILOT extensions on SONiC and other switch operating systems
