Shopify Scripts can no longer be edited and stop running on June 30

Shopify said on March 11, 2026 that legacy Scripts could no longer be edited or published, and that existing Scripts would stop executing on June 30, 2026. Merchants whose discount, shipping or payment logic runs on Scripts have to move it to Shopify Functions before then. The change is a platform migration rather than a revenue event, but it affects merchants that customize checkout.

• Scripts could not be edited or published after April 15, 2026
• Existing Scripts stop executing June 30, 2026
• Replacement path is Shopify Functions
