TI and NVIDIA show mmWave radar and camera fusion for humanoid robots

TI and NVIDIA demonstrated a sensor-fusion setup that connects TI's IWR6243 mmWave radar to NVIDIA Jetson Thor through NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge. Radar adds detection of glass and reflective obstacles that cameras can miss, and it works in low light, glare, fog and dust. The demo was shown at NVIDIA GTC in March 2026, and the release gave no performance figures.

  • Sensor fusion: TI IWR6243 mmWave radar combined with camera data on NVIDIA Jetson Thor
  • Shown at NVIDIA GTC, March 16 to 19, 2026, in San Jose
  • Target use: humanoid and industrial robots, where radar complements cameras
  • No performance metrics were published in the release
