TI launches IsoShield isolated power modules for data centers and EVs

TI introduced two isolated power modules built in its IsoShield package, which combines a planar transformer and the isolated power stage in one device. The UCC34141-Q1 covers 6 V to 20 V and the UCC33420 covers 5 V, and TI says the packaging gives up to three times the power density of discrete designs. Both are available now in preproduction and production quantities on TI.com.

• UCC34141-Q1: 6 V to 20 V isolated power module, 5.85 mm x 7.5 mm x 2.6 mm
• UCC33420: 5 V isolated power module, 4 mm x 5 mm x 1 mm
• TI claims up to three times the power density of discrete isolated designs and up to 70% smaller solutions
• Targets data-center power and reinforced-isolation automotive and industrial designs
