800 VDC data-center power architecture
Reference designs with Nvidia's 800 VDC power architecture were unveiled in March 2026, with several chips shown.
What it is
A power chain for AI data centers built around 800-volt DC distribution, including a GaN-based 800 V-to-6 V bus converter, a 6 V-to-sub-1 V GPU core converter, an 800 V hot-swap controller, and a 30 kW AC/DC supply that TI is demonstrating.
Why it matters to the stock. Data center was about 9% of TI's 2025 revenue, and this product ties its analog chips to Nvidia's AI power designs. TI's own materials cite up to 97.6% peak efficiency for the 800 V-to-6 V converter.
