UK CMA proposes app store commitments from Apple and Google
The UK Competition and Markets Authority proposed commitments from Apple and Google on app review, app ranking, data handling and iOS interoperability requests, instead of formal rules. Views were sought until March 3, 2026, with the commitments due to take effect April 1 if supported. The CMA said it would move quickly to formal conduct requirements if the commitments are not implemented effectively.
