Waymo opens public driverless robotaxi rides in Miami
Waymo started public driverless ride-hailing in a 60 square mile area of Miami, including Wynwood, Brickell and Coral Gables. Riders are admitted in phases, with nearly 10,000 local residents signed up, and airport service to Miami International is planned but not yet available. The launch extends Waymo's paid service into another US city, which matters for the Other Bets robotaxi ramp.
