Cheniere completes Corpus Christi Stage 3 as seventh train is handed over

Cheniere said on August 31, 2026 that Corpus Christi Liquefaction Stage 3 reached substantial completion on August 28, when Bechtel handed over the seventh and last train. The same release marked the 5,000th LNG cargo from its US Gulf Coast operations, loaded at Sabine Pass on August 29. The company says the project lifted its total capacity by more than 20% to about 56 mtpa.
