EIA October outlook: Henry Hub $3.48 in 2026 and $3.16 in 2027

The EIA's October 2026 Short-Term Energy Outlook, released October 6, projects Henry Hub spot averaging $3.48/MMBtu in 2026 and $3.16/MMBtu in 2027, a fall of 32 cents or 9%. It forecasts US LNG exports of 17.6 Bcf/d in 2026, rising to 18.6 Bcf/d in 2027. For traders it is the official base case for the coming winter and the next year.
