TSM ADR touches record high as Musk confirms early talks with TSMC on Terafab

The TSM ADR rose about 2% to US$484.19 on October 5 in midday trading after touching an intraday record, as Elon Musk confirmed early-stage talks with TSMC about the Terafab chip project in Texas. Musk described the talks as just discussions that may or may not lead to something. Intel, already a Terafab partner, fell more than 2% that day, which made the item relevant to the wider foundry trade.
