China's SASAC reportedly reviews Broadcom switch use in state-backed data centers
The Financial Times reported on September 23, 2026 that China's State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission has been surveying how much Broadcom networking gear is installed in state-controlled data centers. SASAC may issue informal guidance telling state data centers to scale back Broadcom switches as part of Beijing's domestic-chips push. Broadcom did not comment, and the report is not a formal ban.
