Physical stores (Whole Foods Market)

Grocery and retail stores, including Whole Foods Market and Amazon Fresh. In January 2026 Amazon said it would close Amazon Go and Amazon Fresh stores, convert some sites to Whole Foods and open 100-plus new Whole Foods Market stores over the next few years.

Why it matters to the stock. Physical stores are a small share of sales, but they give Amazon a grocery footprint and a channel for Prime perks.
