Cisco unveils Silicon One G300, a 102.4 Tbps chip for AI data-center switching
Cisco announced the Silicon One G300 at Cisco Live EMEA in Amsterdam, a 102.4 Tbps switching chip for AI clusters. It is sold inside new N9000 and Cisco 8000 systems, which Cisco offers in liquid-cooled and air-cooled versions, alongside 1.6T OSFP and 800G optics. Cisco says G300 systems and optics ship in 2026 but has not named a month, so the timing is still an open question for networking revenue.
- 102.4 Tbps of switching capacity in one chip
- Powers new N9000 and Cisco 8000 systems, liquid-cooled and air-cooled
- Launched with 1.6T OSFP, 800G LPO and 800G ZR/ZR+ optics
- Cisco says G300 systems and optics ship this year; no month given
- The energy-efficiency gain of nearly 70% is Cisco's own claim
