Synopsys unveils fully autonomous chip verification agent built with NVIDIA at DAC

At the DAC Chips to Systems conference, Synopsys showed autonomous, long-running AI agents for chip and electronics design built with NVIDIA Nemotron and secured by the NVIDIA OpenShell runtime. The verification agent covers test planning through coverage closure, and the company claims up to 50 times faster time to validated RTL. Customers are evaluating the capabilities, with availability planned for the second half of 2026.
