Synopsys certifies AI-powered EDA flows for Intel 14A process

Synopsys said it certified its AI-powered digital and analog EDA flows for Intel's 14A process, extending existing 18A and 18A-P work. The release also covers 3DIC Compiler support for Intel EMIB and EMIB-T packaging and interface and foundation IP for 14A, including 224G SerDes and PCIe 7.0. The win matters for the foundry ecosystem, though Intel has said it will fund 14A only against confirmed customer commitments.

  • Certified AI-powered EDA flows for Intel 14A, building on 18A and 18A-P
  • 3DIC Compiler reference flow supports Intel EMIB and EMIB-T packaging
  • IP for 14A: 224G SerDes, PCIe 7.0, USB 4, eUSB, plus embedded memories, logic libraries and I/Os
