Wi-Fi 8 platform
Wi-Fi 8 chips are sampling to early access customers. A January 2026 platform launch was followed by SoCs for routers and mesh and a 5G and Wi-Fi 8 fixed wireless reference platform with Samsung in May 2026.
What it is
Next-generation home and enterprise Wi-Fi silicon: dual-band radios, integrated router SoCs, extenders and a 5G plus Wi-Fi 8 fixed wireless access reference design built with Samsung's B1320 5G modem. These are sampling products, not yet reported as revenue.
Why it matters to the stock. Wi-Fi 8 is the next replacement cycle for home routers and mesh systems. Its timing decides whether the broadband and wireless business grows or stays flat once Wi-Fi 7 volumes peak. Broadcom does not disclose Wi-Fi unit volumes.
