2nm (N2)
In high-volume manufacturing since 4Q25; 3% of 2Q26 wafer revenue; 3Q26 gross margin diluted by 3-4 points
The numbers
What it is
N2 is TSMC's first node built on nanosheet transistors. It entered high-volume manufacturing in 4Q25 with good yield and is ramping steeply through 2026.
Why it matters to the stock. 2nm is the next big revenue step after 3nm. Management links its steep ramp to lower 3Q26 gross margin guidance, so its pace shapes both margins and the 2027 growth debate.
