Bloom Energy makes the Energy Server, a solid oxide fuel cell that turns natural gas or biogas into electricity on the customer's site, without combustion. Its customers are data centers, utilities and large industrial users that need power faster than the grid can supply it. Revenue came to $2.02 billion in 2025, up 37% from $1.47 billion in 2024, and quarterly revenue passed $1 billion for the first time in the second quarter of 2026. Management raised 2026 revenue guidance to $3.9 billion to $4.2 billion on July 28, 2026.
How it makes money
Bloom sells Energy Server systems outright, books installation revenue for building them on site, and earns recurring service revenue under maintenance contracts. It also sells electricity from systems it owns under long-term power purchase agreements. Product sales to AI data center developers are lumpy and depend on manufacturing capacity, so quarterly revenue moves more than service revenue. Financing partners such as Brookfield can fund deployments, which lets Bloom ship more systems without carrying all the capital itself.
